I recently had the opportunity to attend the ribbon cutting for North Attleboro’s new Health & Human Services Complex at 451 Elm Street. It was one of those moments that reminds me why I love what I do.

I had the opportunity to design the logo and produce the interior signage for Lenore’s Pantry & Market. Projects like this go beyond design. Seeing everything come together in person, and being there for the ribbon cutting, was incredibly rewarding.

This new complex brings together essential community services under one roof, including the senior center, health department, veterans’ services, and the future home of Lenore’s Pantry & Market. Designed to support residents in a more accessible and centralized way, the space reflects a strong commitment to meeting real, everyday needs within the community.

Lenore’s Pantry & Market is a welcoming, community-based food pantry focused on improving food access and supporting local families. Operated by the Hockomock Area YMCA in collaboration with the town, the pantry honors the legacy of Lenore Paquin through service rooted in dignity, hope, and compassion.

From a design perspective, the goal was to create something approachable, clear, and easy to navigate. The logo and signage were developed to feel welcoming while also supporting the function of the space, helping visitors move through it comfortably and confidently. Every element needed to balance visual consistency with real-world usability.

Being on site and seeing people walk through the space, interact with the signage, and experience the environment firsthand brought everything full circle. It is always one thing to design for a project, but another to witness its impact in real life.

What made this project even more meaningful is that it is right here in North Attleboro, my hometown. Having the chance to contribute to something that directly supports the local community adds a level of pride that goes beyond the work itself.

I am grateful to have been part of a project that will make a real difference for so many.
